Our Story Majestic Equine Sanctuary was founded by Jenna E. Saye out of a deep passion for rescuing horses from abuse, neglect, and slaughter pipelines while also providing therapeutic services for people in need. With over 15 years of experience in the medical field and a lifelong connection with horses, Jenna recognized the powerful bond between humans and horses and the profound healing that equine-assisted therapy can offer. The organization is built on the belief that horses and humans can heal together. Many individuals, particularly veterans and trauma survivors, struggle to find effective therapy methods beyond medication. Through equine-assisted therapy, we aim to offer a holistic approach that fosters emotional healing, confidence, and well-being. Mission Statement Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide a safe haven for abused and neglected horses while utilizing equine-assisted therapy to support veterans, trauma survivors, and individuals with disabilities. By bridging the gap between horses and people, we strive to save lives—one horse and one person at a time. Vision Statement Majestic Equine Sanctuary envisions a world where every horse is treated with dignity and every individual in need finds healing through the transformative power of equine-assisted therapy. We aim to inspire and replicate our model across multiple states to create a nationwide impact. Core Values • Compassion: We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment for both horses and humans. 16 | P a g e • Integrity: We uphold the highest ethical standards in animal welfare and therapy practices. • Community: We believe in fostering strong partnerships and engaging the community in our mission. • Empowerment: We strive to uplift individuals, particularly veterans and trauma survivors, by providing therapeutic support. • Sustainability: We work towards building a long-term, self-sustaining sanctuary that ensures ongoing rescue efforts and therapy programs. Current Operations & Future Plans Currently, Majestic Equine Sanctuary is in its early stages, actively working to secure land, funding, and necessary resources to begin full-scale operations. The sanctuary will provide shelter, medical care, and rehabilitation for rescued horses while implementing equine-assisted therapy programs for individuals struggling with PTSD, anxiety, and trauma. Our future plans include expanding to accommodate more horses, hiring trained professionals, and developing sustainable revenue streams through grants, fundraising, and community partnerships. By securing funding, we will be able to establish a fully functional sanctuary that will serve as a model for similar programs nationwide. Majestic Equine Sanctuary is more than just a rescue organization—it is a movement dedicated to changing lives through the power of equine connection.
Majestic Equine Sanctuary is seeking a total of $425,000 to launch its project, which includes land acquisition, essential infrastructure, and the creation of a therapeutic environment for both horses and people. This proposal has been divided into Stage 1 and Stage 2, ensuring an organized approach to the development of the sanctuary. 22 | P a g e Stage 1: Foundation and Infrastructure Item Land Acquisition (10 acres) Cost ($) 250,000 Barn Construction & Fencing 50,000 Installation of Water Systems 25,000 Total Stage 1 325,000 Stage 2: Expansion & Facilities for Therapy Item Cabin Construction (5 units) Cost ($) 60,000 Plumbing, Electric, and Sewer 40,000 Total Stage 2 100,000 Total Project Cost Total - 425,000 Justification for Funding 1. Land Acquisition – $250,000 The sanctuary requires at least 10 acres of land for the horses and therapeutic programs. The market rate for the land is currently around $250,000 in the desired location. This land will provide the necessary space for the animals' well-being and for the expansion of the sanctuary’s programs. 2. Barn Construction & Fencing – $50,000 A barn is necessary for housing the rescued horses, with proper facilities for their care and protection. Fencing is also required to secure the property and keep the horses safe from outside dangers. This cost will cover the construction of these essential structures. 3. Installation of Water Systems – $25,000 23 | P a g e Clean, accessible water is critical for the horses' health and daily care. The $25,000 allocation will cover the installation of water systems, including water troughs and the necessary piping to ensure all animals have constant access to fresh water. 4. Cabin Construction & Plumbing, Electric, and Sewer – $100,000 Stage 2 involves constructing cabins for therapy participants, volunteers, and staff. This amount also includes the necessary plumbing, electricity, and sewage systems required to make the cabins functional for overnight stays, programs, and workshops. This funding will provide a comprehensive and structured approach to building Majestic Equine Sanctuary, ensuring that both the horses and the people who benefit from equine assisted therapy have a safe, functional, and nurturing environment. The two-stage approach will allow us to begin operations with a solid foundation, while also planning for sustainable growth in the future.
